Banks are directed to refrain from granting or renewing credit facilities to non-bank credit entities unless those entities are coded with the Central Bank of Egypt and have reported to both the Central Bank's information network and the Egyptian Credit Bureau. Existing debts to non-compliant entities must be placed under liquidation if the entities fail to rectify their reporting status within three months. Banks bear the responsibility of notifying these non-bank entities of these requirements.
