The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago requires licensees under the Financial Institutions Act, Insurance Companies and Brokers, Bureaux de Change, Payment System Providers, and specific mortgage banks to complete the finalized AML/CFT/CPF Self-Assessment Questionnaire. Institutions must submit the completed questionnaire electronically to ami@central-bank.org.tt by December 31, 2020. The Bank will use the submitted information to establish a baseline ML/TF/PF risk profile for each entity, which will determine the frequency of future supervisory submissions.

Following careful consideration of all comments and recommendations the Questionnaire has been finalized and is being issued for your completion. All institutions are required to complete the Questionnaire and submit electronically to ami central-bank. or . tt by December 31, 2020. This Questionnaire is being introduced as part of the Bank's risk-based supervisory approach to Anti-Money Laundering/ Combatting the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Financing (collectively "AML"). In this instance, the information provided in the Questionnaire will be used to establish a baseline ML/TF/PF risk profile of each instihition. Thereafter, the frequency of the submissions will depend on the assessed risk of the institution (that is whether low, medium or high) and institutions will be advised individually in writing of their baseline AML risk rating.
