Circular Letter No. 09: Preservation and Use of Information of Penalized Employees of Financial Institutions through CMMS (Corporate Memory Management System)

The Circular Letter No. 09 issued by the Department of Financial Institutions and Markets (DFIM) of Bangladesh Bank mandates financial institutions to preserve and utilize information regarding penalized employees through the Corporate Memory Management System (CMMS). This directive expands the scope of the previous circular (No. 03) to include not only penalized employees but also penalized officers. The instructions are issued under the authority granted by Section 41(3) of the Financial Companies Act, 2023, and take effect immediately.

Dear Sir,

Subject: Preservation and Use of Information of Penalized Employees of Financial Institutions through CMMS (Corporate Memory Management System).

Reference is invited to your Circular Letter No. 03 dated October 10, 2019, on the subject matter.

  1. In the aforementioned circular, guidelines were provided for the preservation and use of information regarding penalized employees of respective financial companies through the software CMMS (Corporate Memory Management System) prepared by Bangladesh Bank.

  2. Now, guidelines have been provided for the preservation and use of information regarding penalized employees as well as penalized officers of respective financial companies in the said software.

  3. These guidelines are issued under the powers conferred by Section 41(3) of the Financial Companies Act, 2023.

These guidelines shall take effect immediately.
