The Bank of Portugal verifies that Loomis Portugal, S.A. meets the technological, procedural, and knowledge requirements for euro coin and banknote recirculation at its new Cash Handling Centre (CTN) in Funchal, following the closure of its previous centre. The regulator confirms that ESEGUR, PROSEGUR, LOOMIS, and GRUPO 8 maintain their eligibility to exercise this activity, but only at specific CTNs located in Lisbon, Porto, Funchal, Ponta Delgada, and Loulé as identified in the circular. Any future changes to these conditions will be communicated by the Bank of Portugal through the same channel.

Subject: Information regarding the new cash handling centre of Loomis
In the context of applying Decree-Laws Nos. 184/2007, of May 10, and 195/2007, of May 15,
documents which regulate, respectively, the activities of recycling metallic coins and euro banknotes when carried out by entities that operate professionally with cash, it is incumbent upon the Bank of Portugal to inform that:
The cash-in-transit company, Loomis Portugal, S.A., notified the Bank of Portugal of the
installation of a new Cash Handling Centre (CTN) in Funchal and the
closure of the previous CTN.
Having made available the relevant information, the Bank of Portugal proceeded to verify, at the CTN
indicated above, the existence of the conditions required for the exercise of the activity of
recycling metallic coins and euro banknotes, having verified that it meets the technological, procedural and knowledge requirements necessary for this purpose.
The cash-in-transit companies, ESEGUR, S.A., PROSEGUR, Lda., LOOMIS, S.A. and GRUPO
8, Lda. maintain the enabling conditions for the exercise of the activity of recycling
euro banknotes and metallic coins.
The Bank of Portugal proceeded to verify the conditions required at the Cash Handling
Centres (CTN) indicated for the exercise of the activity of recycling euro banknotes and metallic coins by the aforementioned cash-in-transit companies, identified below:
a) ESEGUR – Security Company, S.A. - CTNs located in Lisbon, in Porto, in Funchal and
in Ponta Delgada;
b) PROSEGUR Logistics and Cash Treatment Portugal, Unipessoal Lda. - CTNs located
in Lisbon, in Porto and in Loulé;
c) LOOMIS PORTUGAL, S.A. - CTNs located in Lisbon, in Porto and in Funchal;
d) GRUPO 8 - Electronic Surveillance and Prevention, Lda. - CTNs located in Lisbon and in Porto.
Only at the Centres indicated in the previous point is the exercise of the activity of recycling euro banknotes and metallic coins by the
cash-in-transit companies identified in this Circular Letter recognized by the Bank of Portugal.
Any alteration to the situation disclosed by this Circular Letter will be duly communicated by the Bank of Portugal via the same channel.
