The Central Bank of Jordan requires all banks operating in the Kingdom to prioritize the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions related to combating money laundering, terrorist financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Banks must intensify training courses and workshops for all employees to raise awareness and ensure compliance, thereby effectively managing associated compliance risks. This directive was issued by Governor Dr. Ziad Fariz on December 26, 2018.

Based on the importance of banks operating in the Kingdom managing compliance risks associated with decisions issued by the Security Council related to combating money laundering and terrorist financing and preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
