Circular No. 37 Easter Holiday
The Palestine Monetary Authority mandates the closure of all banks operating in Palestine on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in observance of Easter. This directive is issued under Article 73 of Banking Law No. 9 of 2010 and references a Cabinet decision. The closure applies to all banks, with copies of the circular distributed to the Capital Markets Authority, Palestine Exchange, Palestine Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Financial Monitoring Unit.

Subject: Easter Holiday
Based on the provisions of Article No. (73) of Banking Law No. (9) of 2010, and in consultation with the esteemed Cabinet decision, it has been decided to suspend work in all banks operating in Palestine on Sunday, April 12, 2026, on the occasion of Easter.
On this occasion, I extend my congratulations to all employees in the banking sector in Palestine, and we ask God to return it to our Palestinian people with their wishes fulfilled in establishing the independent Palestinian state and its holy capital, Jerusalem.
