Circular No. 47/2026 Implementation of Minimum Wage
The Palestine Monetary Authority requires all banks operating in Palestine to take necessary measures to comply with the Ministry of Labor's directive on implementing the approved minimum wage. This implementation is necessitated by the impact of the exchange rate fluctuation between the US dollar and the Jordanian dinar against the Israeli shekel on the wage standards defined under the Palestinian Labor Law. Banks are instructed to issue internal circulars to ensure their supervised entities adhere to these requirements.

Subject: Implementation of Minimum Wage
With reference to the above subject, please find attached a letter from the Ministry of Labor regarding the necessity of adhering to the implementation of the approved minimum wage in accordance with the provisions of the Palestinian Labor Law, which has been affected by the decrease in the exchange rate difference of the US dollar/Jordanian dinar against the shekel.
Accordingly, all banks are requested to take the necessary measures to comply with the requirements of the attached letter.
