Circular No. 52: Funding ATMs in US Dollars and Jordanian Dinars

The Palestine Monetary Authority requires all banks operating in Palestine to take all necessary measures to ensure regular and continuous cash liquidity on all ATMs, specifically in US Dollars (USD) and Jordanian Dinars (JOD). This directive is issued under Instruction No. (2012/4) regarding ATM services, Item No. (5), to regulate banking services and ensure public access to cash in circulating currencies. The Authority will monitor compliance with these requirements and take necessary actions according to the law and instruction provisions.

Subject: Funding ATMs in US Dollars and Jordanian Dinars

In the context of efforts to regulate and organize banking services provided to customers, meet public needs, and ensure easy access to cash in various circulating currencies, and based on Instruction No. (2012/4) regarding ATM service Item No. (5), banks are requested to take all measures to provide cash liquidity on all ATMs regularly and continuously, particularly in US Dollars (USD) and Jordanian Dinars (JOD).

The Palestine Monetary Authority will follow up on compliance with the requirements, and necessary measures will be taken in accordance with the provisions of the law and the requirements of the instructions.
