Circular on Dealing with Counterfeit Currency No. (2-2-21042)-0
The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that licensed financing companies must use appropriate counting machines to detect counterfeit banknotes during cash handling. The directive requires these entities to confiscate any discovered counterfeit Jordanian banknotes and submit them to the Central Bank via official letters that include the names of the individuals concerned.

Memorandum to Licensed Financing Companies No. (21/2025) Subject: Counterfeit Currency
With the aim of maintaining trust, safety, and the integrity of circulating Jordanian currency, the Central Bank of Jordan emphasizes that all companies must comply with the following:
First: When handling cash, it is mandatory to use appropriate counting machines to ensure that no counterfeit banknotes are present.
Second: Confiscate any Jordanian banknotes discovered to be counterfeit and submit them to the Central Bank of Jordan via official letters that include the names of the individuals concerned.
