Circular on Dealing with Counterfeit Currency No. (2-2-21042)
The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that licensed financing companies must use appropriate counting machines to detect counterfeit banknotes during currency handling. The directive requires these entities to confiscate any discovered counterfeit Jordanian banknotes and submit them to the Central Bank via official letters that include the names of the persons concerned.

Memorandum to Licensed Financing Companies No. (21/2025) Subject: Counterfeit Currency
With a view to ensuring trust, safety, and the integrity of the circulating Jordanian currency, the Central Bank of Jordan emphasizes that all companies must comply with the following:
First: When handling currency, it is mandatory to use appropriate counting machines to ensure that the currency is free from any counterfeit banknotes.
Second: Confiscate any Jordanian banknotes discovered by you and submit them to the Central Bank of Jordan via official letters including the names of the persons concerned.
