Circular on Non-Jordanian Employees in Licensed Financing Companies

The Central Bank of Jordan requires licensed financing companies to submit annual information regarding non-Jordanian employees by January 15 each year using specified forms. Companies must include identity documents, curricula vitae, position justifications, and employee headcounts when requesting approval for new non-Jordanian hires. The directive prohibits appointing non-Jordanian staff if local competencies are available to fill the positions.

Circular to Licensed Financing Companies

Greetings,

Based on the provisions of Article (14/d/2) of the Financing Companies Law No. (107) of 2021 regarding the appointment of non-Jordanian employees in companies, we wish to inform you as follows:

  • All companies must provide the Central Bank of Jordan with information regarding their non-Jordanian employees according to the attached form, annually and no later than the 15th of January of each year.

  • It is necessary that the request for approval to appoint any non-Jordanian employee in the company includes:

    1. A copy of the identity document.
    2. The curriculum vitae.
    3. The position to be held and the justification for the appointment.
    4. The total number of employees in the company and the number of non-Jordanian employees as of the date of submitting the request.

We hereby emphasize the necessity of refraining from appointing non-Jordanian employees if local competencies and skills are available to fill the positions.
