The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that all banks and their branches connect anti-theft alarms and surveillance cameras to the General Security Directorate, install electronic security doors, and provide guarding during operating hours. These security measures must be implemented within one month of the circular's date. Banks are required to submit progress reports to the Banking Control Department within two weeks of the circular's issuance.

Circular to Banks Operating in the Kingdom
Greetings,
With reference to the meeting held this morning, Monday, corresponding to 16/4/2018, presided over by His Excellency the Minister of Interior, attended by His Excellency the Director General of Public Security, His Excellency the Director General of Gendarmerie Forces, and attended by the President and members of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Banks Association, regarding the measures to be taken to deter attacks or robberies on bank branches operating in the Kingdom and to preserve the security and safety of banks, their employees, and customers, the following has been decided:
Coordination regarding the above shall be conducted with the General Security Directorate. The aforementioned measures must be completed within a maximum period of one month from the date of this circular, and a report on the achieved progress must be provided to the Banking Control Department within two weeks from the date of this circular.
