Circular PI/MA/1/2014 – Repeal of Circular PI/MA/3/2004
The Registrar of Medical Aid Funds repeals Circular No. PI/MA/3/2004 with immediate effect. All registered Medical Aid Funds must include Trustee remuneration as a standing agenda item at every Annual General Meeting for member approval. Approved remuneration structures must be incorporated into the fund's amended rules and submitted to NAMFISA for annual approval.

SUBJECT: REPEALING OF CIRCULAR NO. PI/MA/3/2004
This notice serves to inform all registered Medical Aid Funds that after thorough considerations, the Registrar has decided to repeal circular No. PI/MA/3/2004 with immediate effects.
All Medical Aid Funds are required to ensure that the Trustee remuneration subject is included as a standing agenda item at every Annual General Meeting, for the members to approve the remuneration structure for Trustees. Funds are further required to ensure that the approved remuneration structure forms part of the fund's amended rules and is submitted to NAMFISA for approval on an annual basis.
