Circular to Applicants for Financial Services Authorisations

Effective immediately, all applications for financial services authorisations must be submitted by mail and electronically to specific email addresses designated by sector, replacing the previous general address. Authorisation Certificates are no longer available for collection at MFSA offices and will instead be mailed directly to the applicants.

Circular to applicants for financial services authorisations As part of its ongoing efforts to streamline the authorisation process, the Authorisation Unit would like to advise that, with immediate effect: (i) All applications for authorisations are to be sent by mail and also electronically. For electronic submissions, the e-mail address authorisations@mfsa.com.mt is being replaced by the following e-mail addresses, depending on the authorisation being applied for, as follows:

  • Securities related applications on ausecurities@mfsa.com.mt;
  • Banking and Financial Institutions related applications on aubankingFIs@mfsa.com.mt;
  • Insurance related applications on auinsurance@mfsa.com.mt;
  • Pensions, Trusts and Corporate Services Providers related applications on aupensionstrustscsps@mfsa.com.mt. Applicants are also encouraged to submit related enquiries electronically using the respective inbox depending on the authorisation being applied for. (ii) Authorisation Certificates will no longer be made available for collection from the MFSA offices but will be mailed directly to the applicant concerned. Your cooperation is solicited.
