The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that banks cease submitting external audit reports on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing compliance and stop commissioning external auditors for this verification, effective immediately. This directive applies to all banks operating in the Kingdom, with an exception for tasks already agreed upon and contracted with external auditors prior to this date.

Circular to Banks Operating in the Kingdom
Greetings,
Referring to the external audit reports on banks' compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) instructions, a copy of which is sent to the Central Bank in compliance with Article (11/Second) of AML/CTF Instructions No. (51/2010) dated 23/11/2010, and subsequent to our Circular No. (6677/4/2/10) dated 11/5/2016, please cease providing us with these reports and commissioning external auditors to verify the bank's compliance with AML/CTF instructions as of this date, with the exception of tasks that have been agreed upon and for which contracts have been signed with external auditors.
