Circular to Licensed Banks
The Central Bank of Jordan authorizes licensed banks to provide bounced check information to CRIF - Jordan without requiring prior customer consent, based on Article (74/d) of the Banks Law No. (28) of 2000. Banks must ensure their readiness to supply this information and comply with the Credit Information Law No. (15) of 2010 and its associated regulations. This directive was issued on August 11, 2022.

Greetings,
Based on the provisions of Article (74/d) of the Banks Law No. (28) of 2000 and its amendments, we would like to inform you of our approval for you to provide CRIF - Jordan with bounced check information without the need to obtain prior customer consent for this.
Emphasizing the necessity of taking the necessary measures to ensure your institution's readiness to provide the company with the required information and to comply with the provisions of the Credit Information Law No. (15) of 2010 and the regulations issued thereunder.
