Circular to Licensed Exchange Companies Regarding Periodic Statistical Reports Submitted to the Central Bank of Jordan

The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that licensed exchange companies submit periodic statistical reports no later than the tenth day following the end of the reporting period. The circular requires these entities to ensure data accuracy, review internal control systems, and maintain automated accounting systems that link branches to headquarters. Failure to comply with these submission deadlines or data integrity standards may result in regulatory measures under Article 26(e) of the Exchange Business Law.

Circular to Licensed Exchange Companies Subject: Models of Periodic Statistical Reports Submitted to the Central Bank of Jordan

Greetings,

In accordance with the provisions of Article (22/A) of the Exchange Business Law No. (44) of 2015 regarding the provision of periodic information and data requested by the Central Bank in accordance with the provisions of this law and the regulations and instructions issued pursuant thereto, and subsequently our circulars issued on the matter, and given the observations of delays in providing us with periodic data and the repetition of subsequent amendments to those reports, we emphasize the necessity of adhering to the following:

  1. Commitment to providing us with periodic data by no later than the tenth day from the date of the end of the period covered by those reports.
  2. Exercising utmost accuracy in all data prepared for the purposes of the Central Bank and ensuring that they match the entries in your records and are consistent with the provisions of prevailing legislation.
  3. Reviewing all internal control and audit systems promptly, including dual control over the data provided to the Central Bank, and ensuring their effectiveness.
  4. Ensuring that the branch company has automated accounting and financial systems that enable linking between the branch and the company's headquarters, such that this is reflected in the company's records and data.
  5. Posting and recording all company operations promptly and loading each period with its relevant operations.
  6. Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial systems used by the company and their ability to extract statistics and data that reflect the company's actual reality.

Please note that the Central Bank will take any of the measures stipulated in the provisions of Article (26/e) of the prevailing Exchange Business Law in the event that the company repeats modifying its data or delaying its reports.
