Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/1732 on fees charged by ESMA to securitisation repositories

The European Commission establishes the fees charged by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) to securitisation repositories, including registration, extension-of-registration, and annual supervisory fees. Registration fees are set at EUR 100,000 or EUR 65,000 depending on whether ancillary services are provided, with reduced extension fees of EUR 50,000 or EUR 32,500 for entities already registered as trade repositories. Annual supervisory fees are calculated based on applicable turnover relative to the total sector turnover, subject to a minimum of EUR 30,000, and must be paid by the end of March. The regulation also mandates ESMA to reimburse national competent authorities for actual costs incurred in carrying out delegated supervisory tasks.
