The European Commission amends Regulation (EU) 2019/631 by setting specific mass values for calculating CO2 emission targets for manufacturers of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. For passenger cars, the indicative average test mass (TM0) for 2025 is set at 1,609.6 kg, while for light commercial vehicles it is set at 2,163.0 kg. The regulation also updates the average mass in running order (M0) for light commercial vehicles to 1,875.07 kg for the calendar year 2024, replacing previous values for 2020 through 2023. These adjustments directly affect the calculation of specific emission targets for vehicle manufacturers in the EU.
