The European Commission adopted Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/637 to establish uniform formats, templates, and tables for public disclosures by credit institutions and investment firms under the Capital Requirements Regulation. This regulation implements updated Pillar 3 disclosure requirements, including new templates for key metrics, leverage ratios, liquidity coverage, and counterparty credit risk, while repealing four previous regulations. It introduces specific disclosure obligations for large institutions, requiring extended reporting on non-performing exposures when a 5% threshold is met for two consecutive quarters. The regulation entered into force on 21 April 2021, providing institutions with sufficient time to adapt their internal systems for compliance.
