CSSF Circular 22/822 on FATF High-Risk Jurisdictions and Increased Monitoring
The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) issued Circular 22/822 to require Luxembourg’s regulated entities to apply enhanced due diligence and counter-measures for jurisdictions designated as high-risk by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The directive further mandates specific compliance procedures for jurisdictions under FATF increased monitoring. Regularly updated annexes within the circular provide the authoritative jurisdictional lists, ensuring continuous alignment with international anti-money laundering standards.
