Insurer data upgrade
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has updated the Annual Insurer Report and Quarterly Insurer Report templates to align with the mandatory implementation of NZ IFRS 17 and the Interim Solvency Standard. Version 1.8 of these templates, effective for report dates on or after 1 March 2026, introduces specific changes to investment asset classifications, solvency liability measurements, and target capital calculations to enhance data reliability. Insurers are required to download and use the appropriate template version corresponding to their specific report and balance dates to ensure accurate regulatory reporting.
