Amendments to Policy Statement 11-201 Respecting Electronic Delivery of Documents

The securities regulators amended Policy Statement 11-201 to modernize electronic document delivery requirements. Section 3.1 now recommends recreating documents in native digital format rather than scanning them, ensuring cost-efficient transmission, storage, and retrieval. Section 3.3 is concurrently updated by striking out paragraph (5) and deleting the explicit reference to SEDAR in paragraph (6).

AMENDMENTS TO POLICY STATEMENT 11-201 RESPECTING ELECTRONIC DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTS

  1. Section 3.1 of Policy Statement 11-201 respecting Electronic Delivery of Documents is replaced by the following: “3.1. Form and Content of Documents Documents proposed to be delivered electronically should be recreated in electronic format, rather than scanned into electronic format. 2. Section 3.3 of the Policy Statement is amended: (1) by striking out paragraph (5); (2) by striking out, in paragraph (6), “, such as SEDAR,”.
