The Commodity Futures Trading Commission proposes revisions to swap data recordkeeping and reporting regulations for swap data repositories, clearing organizations, execution facilities, contract markets, swap dealers, major swap participants, and counterparties. The proposed changes aim to streamline new swap reporting requirements, harmonize swap data elements with international technical guidance, and reduce reporting burdens for counterparties that are not swap dealers or major swap participants. These amendments also introduce new validation requirements for swap data repositories and update definitions and procedures across Parts 45, 46, and 49 of the Commission's regulations.
