Whereas the issuance and circulation of Rupiah is addressed to provide cash in society as an instrument of payment (legal tender); b. Whereas to optimalize the function of element on currency in the 5.000 (five thousand) Rupiah denomination as a legal tender in Indonesia, it is deemed necessary to enhance the design of Rupiah currency especially for the signature in bank notes, the placement of year of issue or year of emission, and the year of print; c. Now therefore, based on the considerations referred to in letter a and letter b, it is necessary to amend Bank Indonesia Regulation concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2001 Issue of Banknotes in the 5,000 (five thousand) Rupiah Denomination; In view of: 1. Material Material used is 100% (one hundred percent) cotton fiber with specification as follows: a. 143 mm length and 65 mm width; b. Cream (yellowish-white) color; c. Does not glow under ultraviolet light; d. Watermark comprising the image of Hero of the Independence Struggle Cut Nyak Meutia; e. Woven security thread made of transparent plastic consisting of black microtext of “BANK INDONESIA”, complete or partially cut, and glows green and yellow in turn under ultraviolet light;
