DCMPS Circular No. 10: Guidelines on Mobile Financial Services for the Banks

The Department of Currency Management and Payment Systems sets a daily maximum transaction limit of $10,000 and a monthly maximum limit of $25,000 for mobile account holders using C2C services. These limits apply to any number of transactions and supersede previous guidelines issued via DCMPS Circular No. 08 dated 22/09/2011. The directive applies to all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh.

Dear Sir,

Reference is drawn to your attention to Section 7.3 of the Guidelines on Mobile Financial Services for the Banks, issued through DCMPS Circular No. 08 dated 22/09/2011, regarding the subject cited above.

Under the revised policy, a daily maximum transaction limit of $10,000/- and a monthly maximum limit of $25,000 have been determined for mobile account holders availing services in the C2C (Consumer to Consumer) segment.

This limit shall apply to any number of transactions.
