SUBJECT: CONSULTATIONS ON PROPOSED ZERO PERCENT INCREASE IN SUPERVISORY LEVIES AND LICENSING FEES FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDING 31ST MARCH 2024

The above matter refers.

The Authority informs all Non – Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) that it will adopt the following regarding the consultations on proposed supervisory levies and licensing fees for the financial year ending 31st March 2024:

1. The Authority will call for comments from the Non-Bank Financial Institutions through its website and social media platforms.

2. The Authority proposes a no change to the supervisory levies as well as the licensing and renewal fees for the financial year ending 31st March 2024.

3. This memo is issued in line with Section 23 of the NBFIRA Act, which requires the Authority to publish the annual estimates and proposal for supervisory levies and call for submissions on the draft estimates.

4. Enquiries: All comments and enquiries are to be submitted electronically through BudgetComments@nbfira.org.bw or by post to Private Bag 00314 Gaborone not later than 20th January 2023.
