Decision (EU) 2025/2419 on the approval of the volume of coin issuance in 2026

The European Central Bank approves the volume of euro coins to be issued by euro area Member States and Bulgaria in 2026, specifying amounts for circulation and collector coins. The approved issuance totals EUR 2,064.41 million for circulation coins and EUR 521.49 million for collector coins, summing to EUR 2,585.90 million. Individual allocations are set for each member state, such as EUR 354.50 million for Germany's circulation coins and EUR 56.00 million for Belgium's. Article 1

Definitions

For the purposes of this Decision, the definitions in Article 1 of Decision (EU) 2015/2332 (ECB/2015/43) apply.

Article 2

Approval of the volume of euro coins to be issued in 2026

The ECB hereby approves the volume of euro coins to be issued by euro area Member States in 2026 as set out in the following table:

Taking effect

This Decision shall take effect on the day of its notification to the addressees.
