The European Central Bank amends Decision ECB/2010/29 to update the banknote allocation key effective 1 January 2026, coinciding with Bulgaria's adoption of the euro. The revised key incorporates the Bulgarian National Bank with a 1.0875% share and adjusts the capital key weightings for all other national central banks accordingly. This amendment ensures the distribution of euro banknotes reflects the new economic weightings resulting from Bulgaria's entry into the euro area.
