Decision on the Issuance of 20, 10 and 5 Fening Coins

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina issues a decision to put 20, 10, and 5 fening coins into circulation, specifying that these coins retain the technical characteristics of previously issued denominations and bear the 2013 year of issue. All public and private institutions, legal and natural persons are mandated to accept these coins as legal tender for cash transactions and debt settlement throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. The coins are to be introduced successively through the Central Bank's offices according to an issuance plan, with the decision becoming effective upon publication in the Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other official journals.

Based on Articles 2. paragraph 3. item h, 7. item e, 39. and 42. of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH", 1/97, 29/02, 13/03, 14/03, 09/05, 76/06 and 32/07), Article 52. of the Regulation of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, UV No.: 120/05 of June 29, 2005, 100-UV No.: 66/10 of April 29, 2010, 100-UV No.: 130/11 of March 30, 2011, 100-UV No.: 18/12 of January 31, 2012, 100-UV No.: 10/13 of January 31, 2013 and 100-UV No.: 73/13 of June 28, 2013, in accordance with the Policy on the Production of Convertible Mark Banknotes and Coins, 100-UV No.: 107/12 of November 1, 2012, the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina at its 12th meeting on October 31, 2013, adopts

DECISION on the Issuance of 20, 10 and 5 Fening Coins

Article 1. The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has minted coins in denominations of 20, 10 and 5 fening (hereinafter: F), in accordance with the Decision of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 100-UV No.: 72/13 of June 28, 2013.

Article 2. The coins referred to in Article 1 of this Decision have all the basic features and technical characteristics, as follows: a) coins of denominations 20 and 10 F, in accordance with the Decision on the Issuance, Basic Features and Issuance into Circulation of Coins of 10, 20 and 50 Fening ("Official Gazette of BiH", 24/98 and 25/98), b) coins of denomination 5 F, in accordance with the Decision on the Issuance, Basic Features and Issuance into Circulation of Coins in Denominations of 5 Convertible Marks and 5 Fening ("Official Gazette of BiH", 92/05).

Article 3. The coins referred to in the preceding Article of this Decision were minted with the year of issue "2013".

Article 4. Under the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all public and private institutions and establishments, legal and natural persons are obliged to accept the coins from this Decision at their nominal value as legal tender when offered in cash transactions, or in settlement and payment of any obligations to them, throughout the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Article 5. From the date of entry into force of this Decision, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, through the Central Office, main units and branches, put the coins from Article 1 of this Decision into circulation successively, in accordance with the plan for issuing coins into circulation.

Article 6. This Decision enters into force on the day of publication in the "Official Gazette of BiH", and shall also be published in the "Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH", "Official Gazette of the Republika Srpska" and "Official Gazette of the Brčko District of BiH".
