All financial institutions operating in Bangladesh are required to remain closed on Monday, 04 July 2016, as a government holiday. Additionally, Saturday, 16 July 2016, is designated as a working day for these institutions. This directive is issued in accordance with a government notification regarding the adjustment of official holidays and working days.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Announcement of holiday on Monday, 04 July 2016 and working day on Saturday, 16 July 2016.
Reference is made to the letter No. 05.00.0000.173.08.014.07-148 dated 22/6/2016 from the General Administration Division of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, regarding the explanation of powers granted to the Executive under Section 25 of the General Clauses Act, 1897. It has been announced that Monday, 04 July 2016, will be a government holiday, and the following Saturday, 16 July 2016, will be a working day.
In this regard, it is hereby announced that all financial institutions operating in Bangladesh will remain closed on Monday, 04 July 2016, and the following Saturday, 16 July 2016, will be considered a working day.
