DFIM Circular Letter No. 02: Closing of Financial Institutions on 28th April, 2015 (Tuesday) due to Dhaka North, Dhaka South & Chittagong City Corporation Elections

All branches of financial institutions located in the electoral areas of Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka South City Corporation, and Chittagong City Corporation are required to remain closed on Tuesday, 28 April 2015. This closure is implemented to facilitate employees' exercise of their voting rights and to support the voting process for the city corporation elections. The directive is issued in reference to a memorandum from the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives dated 26 April 2015, which declared a general holiday in the specified electoral zones.

DFIM Circular Letter No. 02 Date: Principal/Managing Directors All Financial Institutions Operating in Bangladesh

Dear Sir,

Regarding the closure of all financial institutions on the occasion of voting for the elections of Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka South City Corporation, and Chittagong City Corporation.

In this regard, a general holiday has been declared on Tuesday, 28/04/2015, in the concerned electoral areas on the occasion of voting for the elections of Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka South City Corporation, and Chittagong City Corporation, pursuant to Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.12-87 dated 26 April 2015 of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives. In light of this, to facilitate the exercise of their voting rights and the voting process by the employees of financial institutions, all branches of financial institutions located in the concerned electoral areas will remain closed on Tuesday, 28 April 2015.
