DFIM Circular Letter No. 04: Closing of Financial Institutions due to 4th Upazila Parishad Election
All financial institutions located in specified election areas are required to close their operations on five specific dates to facilitate voter participation during the 4th Upazila Parishad elections. The closure dates are February 19, 2014; February 24, 2014; February 27, 2014; March 1, 2014; and March 15, 2014, corresponding to the first, second, and third phases of the election schedule.

To, Chief Executive / Managing Directors All Financial Institutions Operating in Bangladesh
Dear Sir,
Context regarding the closure of financial institutions for the 4th Upazila Parishad Election.
Through Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.004.11-54 dated 17 February 2014 of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, a general holiday has been declared in the concerned election areas in accordance with the schedule of the 4th Upazila Parishad Election. In this regard, to facilitate the exercise of voting rights and voting by employees/officials working in financial institutions, all operations of financial institutions located in the concerned election areas (as per the Appendix) shall remain closed on the following dates:
