All financial institutions operating in Bangladesh are required to remain closed on Thursday, 22 October 2015, instead of the previously announced date of 23 October 2015, due to a government notification regarding the Durga Puja holiday. Subject: Closure of Financial Institutions on the Occasion of Durga Puja (Vijaya Dashami)
Dear Sir,
With reference to the Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.008.11-226 dated 11 October 2015 of the Ministry of Public Administration on the above-mentioned subject, it is informed that the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has fixed the previously announced general holiday for the upcoming Durga Puja (Vijaya Dashami) on 22 October 2015 instead of 23 October 2015. Accordingly, all financial institutions operating in the country will remain closed on Thursday, 22 October 2015, instead of the holiday date of 23 October 2015 announced in DFIM Circular Letter-14/2014.
