DFIM Circular Letter No. 05: Regarding the Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day Celebration of Finance Companies

Finance companies operating in Bangladesh are directed to hoist national flags correctly, using the proper size and color, on their premises on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in observance of Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day. The circular mandates that flags must be raised at sunrise and lowered at sunset, adhering to established flag protocols. This directive is issued under the powers granted by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Companies Act, 2023.

Dear Sir,

Subject: Regarding the celebration of Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day 2024.

Reference is drawn to your attention to the Memorandum No. 53.00.0000.211.23.003.20.140 dated February 08, 2024, from the Administration Branch, Department of Financial Institutions, Ministry of Finance, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, on the subject above.

  1. In light of the aforementioned memorandum, the following instructions are hereby issued: On the occasion of the celebration of Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day 2024, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, national flags of the correct rules, correct color, and correct size must be hoisted properly in the buildings of finance companies. Flags must be raised at sunrise and lowered at sunset. The correct rules must be followed while hoisting the flags.

  2. This instruction is issued under the powers conferred by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Companies Act, 2023.
