Financial institutions must keep all branches and regional offices closed in specified election areas on Sunday, March 31, 2019, to facilitate voting for the 5th Upazilla Parishad General Election (4th Phase). This closure applies to institutions located in the listed upazilas across 19 districts, including Patuakhali, Bhola, Barguna, and others. The directive does not apply to election areas where financial institutions do not have branches or booths.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Closure of Financial Institution branches in the election area on Sunday, 31 March 2019, for the 5th Upazilla Parishad General Election (4th Phase) in the context of the declaration of a general holiday in the election area (relevant upazila).\
In light of the letter No. 05.00.0000.173.08.001.17-68 dated 27/03/2019 from the Rules and Legislation Sub-division, Administration Division, Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, regarding the 5th Upazilla Parishad Election (4th Phase), the branches of financial institutions located in the relevant election areas, along with their regional offices, shall remain closed on Sunday, 31 March 2019, to facilitate the exercise of voting rights and voting by the employees of financial institutions in their respective constituencies.
