The Department of Financial Institutions and Markets of Bangladesh Bank has re-fixed the holiday for Shab-e-Barat from Monday, March 29, 2021, to Tuesday, March 30, 2021, following a decision by the National Moon Sighting Committee. This directive applies to all financial institutions operating in Bangladesh.

Re: Re-fixation of holiday for Shab-e-Barat.
A holiday was declared for Monday, March 29, 2021, on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat. Now, in accordance with the decision of the National Moon Sighting Committee, the holiday declared for the holy Shab-e-Barat has been re-fixed from Monday, March 29, 2021, to Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
