Financial institutions are required to keep all branches closed in the election areas of Rajshahi, Barisal, and Sylhet City Corporation on Monday, 30 July 2018. This directive is issued in response to a government notification to facilitate the general election and allow employees to exercise their voting rights. The closure applies specifically to branches located within the designated election zones for these city corporations.

To the Chief Executive / Managing Directors All Financial Institutions operating in Bangladesh
Dear Sir,
Regarding the closure of Financial Institutions on Monday, 30 July, 2018, for the general election of Rajshahi City Corporation, Barisal City Corporation, and Sylhet City Corporation.
In light of the Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.18-129 dated 19 July, 2018, issued by the General Administration Division of the Ministry of Public Administration of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, all branches of Financial Institutions located in the respective election areas will remain closed on Monday, 30 July, 2018, to facilitate voting and the exercise of voting rights by employees working in Financial Institutions during the general election of Rajshahi City Corporation, Barisal City Corporation, and Sylhet City Corporation.
