DFIM Circular Letter No. 09 Guidelines on Cloud Computing

Dear Sir,

  1. Reference is made to the letter of the Department of Non-Banking Institutions, dated 16 March 2023, requesting the same.

  2. In view of the growing use of cloud, cloud infrastructure, cloud technology, cloud service outsourcing, cloud service provider selection criteria, cloud service delivery, cloud governance, cloud service usage security, cloud data protection and privacy, cloud data storage monitoring and management, and service provider security issues, a policy titled "Guidelines on Cloud Computing" has been issued. The Department of Non-Banking Institutions requests that all concerned banks strictly follow the issued guidelines.

  3. You are advised to ensure strict compliance with the relevant policies regarding cloud computing and outsourcing.

  4. This circular is issued under Section 18(Q) of the Bank Company Act, 1993.
