DFIM Circular Letter No. 11: Regarding annual closing of Financial Institutions
All financial institutions operating in Bangladesh are required to close their accounts for the current year on Thursday, December 27, 2018, instead of the usual date, due to the National Parliament Elections-2018 scheduled for December 30, 2018. The bank holiday on December 31, 2018, remains unchanged.

To, The Chief Executive/Managing Directors of all Financial Institutions operating in Bangladesh.
Regarding the determination of account closing for all financial institutions on Thursday, 27/12/2018.
In view of the National Parliament Elections-2018 to be held on December 30, 2018, with the approval of the competent authority, the annual account closing of all financial institutions for the current year is hereby fixed as Thursday, December 27, 2018. The bank holiday on December 31, 2018, will remain unchanged as usual.
