The Department of Financial Institutions and Markets directs all banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh to ensure that relevant staff remain present at their offices from the last day for submitting nomination papers until the shortlisting process is complete, including during official holidays and after office hours. Staff must provide any information or assistance requested by the Returning Officer. This directive implements instructions from the Ministry of Finance regarding the collection and supply of defaulted loan information for candidates in the 10th National Parliament Election.

Dear Sir,
Context of Collection and Supply of Defaulted Loan Information of Interested Candidates in the 10th National Parliament Election.
Paragraph No. 7 of Circular No. 53.011.009.00.00.002.2007(Angsh)/309 dated 28 November 2013 of the Ministry of Finance on the above-mentioned subject is reproduced below verbatim:
"All concerned officers of all banks/specialized banks/financial institutions shall remain present at their respective offices from the last day for submitting nomination papers until the shortlisting is completed (including government/weekly holidays and after office hours) and shall provide any information or assistance requested by the Returning Officer."
