DFIM Circular Letter No. 16: Keeping finance company branches closed in the election areas on 8th May, 2024 Wednesday for the General Election of 141 Upazilla Parishads
Finance companies operating in Bangladesh are directed to keep all business centers, branches, and booths closed in the specified election areas on Wednesday, 8 May 2024. This closure is mandated in accordance with Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.020.24-53 issued by the Ministry of Public Administration for the general election of 141 Upazila Parishads. The directive is issued under the authority granted by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Company Act, 2023.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the general holiday declared in the concerned election areas on Wednesday, 08 May 2024, on the occasion of the General Election of 141 Upazila Parishads.
In accordance with Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.020.24-53 (copy attached) dated 06 May 2024 of the Ministry of Public Administration, all business centers, branches, and booths of finance companies located in the concerned election areas will remain closed on Wednesday, 08 May 2024, on the occasion of the General Election of 141 Upazila Parishads.
This directive is issued under the powers conferred by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Company Act, 2023.
