DFIM Circular Letter No. 16: On the occasion of 'July Mass Uprising Day' all finance companies will remain closed on August 5, 2025

Dear Sir,

Reference is made to Government Notification No. 04.00.0000.000.416.23.0001.20.407 dated July 2, 2025, of the Ministry of the Cabinet Division, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, regarding the closure of finance companies on the occasion of the government declaring August 5 as 'July Mass Uprising Day' as a general holiday.

2. In accordance with the aforementioned notification, the Government has declared August 5 as 'July Mass Uprising Day' as a general holiday. Therefore, all business centers, branches, and booths of finance companies will remain closed on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 (for 1 day).

3. This directive is issued under the power conferred by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Company Act, 2023.
