DFIM Circular Letter No. 17: Keeping NBFI branches closed in the election area on 30th July 2023 Sunday for Election of 287 Chattogram-10 of National Parliament
Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs) operating in Bangladesh are directed to close all branches and regional offices located in the election area for the by-election of Chattogram-10 on July 30, 2023. This directive is issued in accordance with Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.21-121 dated July 26, 2023, from the Ministry of Public Administration. The order is enforced under the authority granted by Section 18(6) of the Financial Institutions Act, 1993.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the closure of branches of Financial Institutions located in the concerned election area on the day of voting, July 30, 2023, for the election to the vacant seat of Chattogram-10 (Seat No. 287) of the National Parliament.
According to Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.002.21-121 dated July 26, 2023, issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, all branches and regional offices of Financial Institutions located in the concerned election area will remain closed on July 30, 2023, for the election to the vacant seat of Chattogram-10 (Seat No. 287) of the National Parliament.
This directive is issued under the powers conferred by Section 18(6) of the Financial Institutions Act, 1993.
