DFIM Circular Letter No. 19: Keeping Finance Company Branches Closed in Election Areas on 29th May 2024 for the General Election of 111 Upazila Parishads
All branches, business centers, and booths of finance companies operating in Bangladesh are required to remain closed on 29 May 2024 in the specific election areas designated for the General Election of 111 Upazila Parishads. This directive is issued in accordance with the Government of Bangladesh's Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.020.24.63 dated 20 May 2024, which declared a general holiday in those areas. The order is issued under the authority granted by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Company Act, 2023.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the declaration of a general holiday in the relevant election areas on 29 May 2024 on the occasion of the General Election of 111 Upazila Parishads.
In accordance with the Government of Bangladesh's Gazette Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.020.24.63 dated 20 May 2024 (copy attached), all business centers, branches, and booths of finance companies located in the relevant election areas will remain closed on 29 May 2024 on the occasion of the General Election of 111 Upazila Parishads.
- This order is issued under the powers conferred by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Company Act, 2023.
