DFIM Circular Letter No. 30: General holiday for the occasion of Durga Puja on 10th October 2024
All finance companies operating in Bangladesh are required to remain closed on Thursday, 10 October 2024, in observance of the general holiday declared for Durga Puja. This directive is issued pursuant to the Government of Bangladesh's Office of the Prime Minister notification dated 8 October 2024 and is authorized under Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Companies Act, 2023.

Dear Sir,
With reference to the general holiday on Thursday, 10 October 2024, on the occasion of Sri Sri Durga Puja.
Attention is invited to the letter No. 05.00.0000.173.08.006.23-163 (copy enclosed) dated 08 October 2024 from the Legal-4 Branch, Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, on the above-mentioned subject.

In view of the above notification, a general holiday has been declared nationwide by executive order of the Government for the upcoming Sri Sri Durga Puja on Thursday, 10 October 2024. Accordingly, all finance companies operating in Bangladesh will remain closed on Thursday, 10 October 2024.

This directive is issued under the powers conferred by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Companies Act, 2023.
