DFIM Circular No. 02: Issuance of licence in favour of Nagad Finance PLC. as Financial Institution.
The Bangladesh Bank has issued Financial Institution Licence No. DFIM(L)/42 to Nagad Finance PLC., located at Delta Dahlia Tower, Dhaka, authorizing it to conduct financial business in Bangladesh under Section 4(1) of the Financial Institutions Act, 1993. The licence was granted on 14 May 2023 (31 Baisakh 1430), and the official notification was issued on 16 May 2023 (2 Jyeshtha 1430). This circular serves to inform all financial institutions and scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh of the issuance and attaches the relevant notification for necessary action.

Regarding the issuance of licence to a new Financial Institution.
This is to inform you that, under the authority granted by Section 4(1) of the Financial Institutions Act, 1993, the Bangladesh Bank has issued a Financial Institution Licence (No. DFIM(L)/42, Date: 31 Baisakh 1430/ 14 May 2023) to 'Nagad Finance PLC.' to conduct financial business in Bangladesh. A copy of the Notification No. DFIM(L)1053/105/2023-1580 issued by the Bangladesh Bank on 2 Jyeshtha 1430/ 16 May 2023 regarding this matter is attached herewith for your information and necessary action.
