DFIM Circular No. 02: New 5.00(Five) Tk. Tax Stamp
The document mandates the introduction of a new 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp, replacing the previous structure of a 1.00 Taka stamp and a 4.00 Taka stamp. Subject: Introduction of New 5.00 (Five) Taka Tax Stamp.
Reference: Circular No. 09/02/09 dated 09/02/09, Ref. No. K-A/IT/3/01/2008(Reg)-10/1(60) of the Ministry of Finance, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
In accordance with the reference cited above, the Ministry of Finance, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, has decided to introduce a new 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp.
Accordingly, the following instructions are issued for your information and necessary action:
- The previous 1.00 (One) Taka and 4.00 (Four) Taka tax stamps will be replaced by a new 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp.
(N) The 1.00 (One) Taka and 4.00 (Four) Taka tax stamps will be discontinued from April 1, 2009, and a new 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp will be introduced in their place.
(X) The existing 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp will be discontinued and a new 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp will be introduced in its place.

In continuation of the circulars Ref. No. 2-3/2008/283 dated 12/01/2008 and Ref. No. 1/1/2009 dated 2009, the Ministry of Finance, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, has decided to introduce a new 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp, replacing the previous 1.00 (One) Taka and 4.00 (Four) Taka tax stamps.
Accordingly, the following instructions are issued:
(N) The 1.00 (One) Taka and 4.00 (Four) Taka tax stamps will be discontinued from April 1, 2009, and a new 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp will be introduced in their place.
(X) The existing 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp will be discontinued and a new 5.00 (Five) Taka tax stamp will be introduced in its place.
