Scheduled banks in Bangladesh must submit deposit insurance information in the prescribed format to the Deposit Insurance Department instead of the Department of Off-site Supervision. This change results from the formation of the Deposit Insurance Department through the conjoining of the Deposit Insurance Section and Liquidated Bank Section. The requirement applies to all scheduled banks and becomes effective for the half-yearly period ended on June 30, 2011.
