Authorized Dealers are required to cease submitting the TM Form and related documents with monthly or periodic returns to Bangladesh Bank effective January 2016. Instead, Authorized Dealers must update the online TM monitoring System at the time of conducting such transactions and preserve printed copies of the TM Form and related documents for five years for record and inspection. In cases under investigation by Bangladesh Bank inspection teams or other Government agencies, the TM Form and full set of related documents shall be disposed of only after obtaining clearance from the concerned inspection team or Government agency. Authorized Dealers must continue submitting statements to Bangladesh Bank in accordance with Chapter 10 of GFET, Volume-1 (2009 Edition).

Attention of Authorized Dealers (ADs) is invited to Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions (GFET), Volume-1 (2009 Edition), Paragraph 2 Chapter 05; GFET, Volume-2 (2010 Edition); FE Circular: 33 Dated 02 September, 2014 and FEPD Circular Letter No. 26, Dated December 09, 2012 regarding submission of TM form to Bangladesh Bank and online reporting of foreign exchange transactions on daily basis through Bangladesh Bank online reporting system. It has been decided to dispense with the submission of TM Form as stated at the Appendix (5/5) of the GFET, 2009, Volume -1 and documents related to TM with the monthly/periodic returns to Bangladesh Bank effective from January, 2016. Online TM monitoring System of Bangladesh Bank should be updated at the time of conducting such transactions. ADs shall preserve the printed copy of TM Form (with related documents) at their own custody for 05 (five) years for record and inspection of Bangladesh Bank. However, in respect of cases which are under investigation by Bangladesh Bank inspection team/other Government agencies, the TM Form and full set of related documents shall be disposed of only after obtaining clearance from the inspection team/Government agency concerned. ADs shall continue submission of statement to Bangladesh Bank in accordance with Chapter 10 of GFET, Volume-1 (2009 Edition).
